Monester Denise Lee-Delva, known to some as Denise Lee and some as the DOUGHNUT LADY. Born April 29th 1971 to Raymond S. Lee who is deceased and Lois E. Lee, whom reside in Dothan, AL, a  native of Miami, FL has a handsome, very intelligent as well as athletically inclined young man, who was born January 17, 1992. Ms. Lee was married to her son’s father at a very young age of eighteen (18). Divorcing at twenty-one (21), not long after her son was born Ms. Lee was determined to continue her education and completed her schooling with a B.A. degree from Florida Memorial University in Opa-Locka, FL in 2001.
Although Ms. Lee had her intentions on going to law school at Howard University after completing her undergraduate in criminal justice, not long before completing her education, Ms. Lee decided to experiment with the play PRACTICING WHAT YOU PREACH. Ms. Lee indicated that it fail because she had no idea what she was getting into. Nonetheless, the experience with PRACTICING WHAT YOU PREACH started a zeal to face the unknown by making an overwhelming impact and change on many individuals lives and also prove that you can overcome failure with success, if you keep walking by faith and believing what God has ordained you to do and just walk in it. Ms. Lee eventually did a talent show called the “Bamquesha Show” in Miami, FL February 03, and “Def Poetry Jams of Dothan” October 04.
Ms. Lee has been writing since she was fourteen years of age and her first script that she wrote was called “BECAUSE MAMA DIDN’T RAISE ME HELL DID”. Ms. Lee indicate that that is the script that she wrote that was based on her own personal life experience from being separated from her mother at the age of fourteen because of the unwise choices her mother made around that age range of Ms. Lee’s life. Having to go and stay with her grandmother, her and her brother from Miami, to AL was not an easy transformation. Ms. Lee says that is why she love to work, reach out and mentor at-risk and challenged and hurting kids because she can identify with them knowing what it feels like in a sense to become defiant due to lack of understanding on how to direct your frustration. And ever since Ms. Lee has been inspired to write and it was not until she decided to bloom like a flower and decide to do this full time, realize that it was not about making money but building a ministry.
Success is great, but JESUS knows when the time is right. And although I want and will bless billions of people, because it is part of my destiny along with others that are going to come along; nevertheless, I have no idea what my future holds because Jesus Christ did advise me
